Strange you'd mention that right now - I was looking at it and noticing it was getting old, dented, dull and kind of saggy the other day and was looking at this mesh to replace it - everyone loves hexagons, and in the fourth/bottom thumbnail picture it says it's "77% open area" which seems a lot more breathable. What do you think?

That looks great ! I only mentioned it because I trimed my (stock) grill recently and noticed it actually did make a difference to my intercooler effectiveness. Yours looked way more restrictive.

My supercharger gets pretty warm if I drive it. I notice it when I go to check the oil level and my forearm bumps it. I wouldnt worry about it. You have checked the oil fluid level? As long as thats fine and the blades spin, you should be ok in my experience.

Are you monitoring the coolant temp of the fluid for the aftercoolers? Mine usually are btwn 125-150 in the summer back when I used to daily drive it and sit in traffic.

turned out i had the blowoff valve hooked on the wrong vacuum line. hooked it to the right one and car is perfect!!! the air was basicaly compressing but not recirculating at idle. so it was pressurized and creating heat,

on a side note looks like i have to get the charger rebuilt due to a bearing gone bad, it squeals at high rpm bad, i thought it was the tensioner bearing which i replaced. but when i restarted it back up and gave it revs it started to squel like a bad power steering pump!! so off to get rebuilt.

That's a bummer; where are you sending yours for rebuilding? I sent mine to Kenne Bell.

How did you figure out it was not recirculating?

Also sorry to hear about your blower. It really seems like a lot of these are needing rebuilds lately. I am getting nervous

good news its not my supercharger!!! the belt is slipping. took it down the block to a muscle car performance shop that works on a lot of supercharged cars and had him take a look and listen and he realized the belt was rubbing on the lip of the tensioner pulley. so i added another washer to the spacer and sanded down the back of the spacer that goes in the pulley and gained a bit of clearance. but think i still need to change the belt cause it still slipping a bit on top end.

That's awesome to hear! Way easier to fix. Just get this. The wider 6-rib pulley and belt will fix all of your problems. Carl Ryan will source you the belt as well if you need help finding it (I had trouble locating the proper belt; I am assuming he was referencing a different UK-based part # or something and couldn't find it so he sourced it and sent it with the pulley kit).

Wait is this serious, or sarcasm? Did he make some bad products or shady transactions or something? I've had really good results with his pulleys at the very least, they seem really well-made and he was very helpful in aiding me to find the right serpentine belt to go with them when he didn't need to be... O.o

I have been running his 6 rib pullet kit for two years now. I started noticed some belt slippage above 8k rpm which may explain why my dyno numbers werent so hot. I was just going to order a new $20 belt and readjust things over the winter. I ordered and got my stuff in a timely manner. The one pulley was off for some reason (can't recall) and he sent a replacement before I even sent back the original.

I do not have any recent experience with him

No, he blatantly copies other company’s products. Any number of places can make those pullies here in the USA. You ought to give him back some of same.

I gather that GReddy, RE Amemiya, OBX, and several other domestic companies make the regular 4-pulley setup that replaces the OEM pulleys, but does anyone else make a 6-rib pulley set specifically for the Pettit kit? That's the unique part that convinced me to buy his - and he sent me a free 11psi pulley with the set as well in case I wanted to upgrade my fuel pump and injectors later and go for more boost.

SC guys, as promised here is my custom coolant tank setup. Just have a few more hoses to connect once my motor is reinstalled. Everything is very dirty I know, I will be doing a deep clean after everything is done.
