Hello ya, So i was just checking out what new items Ebay had for RX8's and i found this turbo kit:

Does anyone have any idea if this kit is any good? (( Specially with an Auto Transmission RX8 )) Also the reason why i noticed the kit in the first place is because it says under the description that it works with either Automatic or Manual Gearboxes and since i own an Auto 8 i thought that i could possibly give it a try. So, does anyone know anything about this kit? and do any of you guys actually own the kit?

This kit contains more chinese stuff than the first esmeril units...
I'd put the flamesuit on if I were you!

 

That much horsepower hasn't been achieved on a RX8. I would never trust anything that cheap. And, the turbo is too small. That is a generic kit. It's not made for a RX8.

I'll give you a piece of advice that I hope you take straight to the bank.


If you want to buy something for your RX-8, only buy from forum vendors here.

The only other people that sell parts, OEM OR upgrades, are dealers, and they don't include KY Jelly with their prices.

And our forum vendors won't steer you wrong, won't sell you something that won't work, and are (for the most part) brutally honest rather than sleezy skum bags. Well, some of them are brutally honest skum bags, but I'll let them tell you that. And their prices are the best you can find.

Buy something from elsewhere and you are asking for pain at a minimum, with lots and lots of pain a complete possibility.

 

Sounds like we should get a sticky about these " kits", a thread like this pops up every week..

You know what they say, if its too good to be true, it probably is.
