dmnit i have quotes here somewhere from Damon(?) at 7stock about the MAF limit etc etc. but he said basically that the MAF does read out to 5 volts and the stock maps go out to there. they changed teh maps to work upto 2x volumetric efficiency or something like that. the white car with the scoop was running on that map i think he said. brillo will have to confirm he was there. Richard- one way or another there will be custom re-flash for your unit when you have it ready.

Zoom, you obviously know something. There are multiple threads now where you've assured Richard that he can gain re-flash capabilities when he's ready.

I was there but I don't remember the exact conversation..... RG might. Reflashing the ECU should be possible without running into MAF issues.

What I think we're all more interested in is who Stateside has the software capabilities to perform the flash?

Rumors of Racing Beat being able to do so, and now Pettit for their SC are the only two I can remember.

anyone who wants to spend the time cracking the ECU. There are several companies that do it already for US domestic cars... just need to get them to work their magic on the 8.

If Mazda employs a system similar to that used in the new Mustang... I don't think there'd be at all. The Mustang is using a MAF-MAP system... using one to check the other.

About tha MAF sensor, i read a lot of people think it is the mai problem, but i don't understand why since we had no problem to manage absolute pressures up to 2 bar just only with a few little changes.
