Ptp?

I am not sure what you mean by your redline drops w/ a turbo. I think you may be referring to the Greddy kit which cannot flow enough at the upper end of the rpm band. I cant remember at what rpm it choked out but I think that may be what you are referring to?
The current *maybe* snail will be a GT2871R...I have yet to finalize anything as I still have to go down to PTP and poke at the plumbing as well as do additional research. Thier kit is designed around a turbo now and so making changes will affect the entire system as a whole and all of that needs to be taken into account. Its never as simple as just mix and matching parts unfortunately.
The turbo PTP uses on the kit is a turbonetics T4 60 trim stage 5 ball bearing turbo which from my understanding is more than up to the job. I toyed around with going the extra mile and getting a turbo with the ceramic option but the price is pretty steep and outside of the durability/spooling/neato factor...the regular one would again work just fine.
Before making any actions I intend on verifying everything with several trusted and knowledgable peeps. When doing your own thing its always best to second guess yourself and double...triple check...and then check again. Nothing like half-*** planning and a lack of understanding to bring about a bad day...

Yep it stops making power at 7800 that doesnt mean that your redline is limited, it simply means that once you cross over 7800 you should probably get to the shifting.
Are you trying to get your peak to be above that?? I am not sure if I understand...

Yeah see I'm a fan of the garrett cause its such a nice match...The kit was designed for the T4 so that part will have to be redone if I was to go w/ the garrett...bah...I'll get my butt down there soon i swear...haa

Next time I'm in Austin, I'll try to swing by there. The last time I was out there was a day he was closed. I get out to Round Rock several times a year so if anyone wants to meet up sometime let me know.

4k for just the plumbin...decent looking kit...nice bends...the welds look good...it could use some smoothing here and there...

funny cause I ran into canaryrx leaving the shop...ironic no??
