Congrats on your purchase. The 8, a wise decision. There is a function underneath the title of this web site that says search. Use that function. It will be your best friend. You can search for "horsepower", "turbo", "ecu". Make sure you search by titles only. There is tones of information on here that has been accumulating since 2003. Good luck.

huh? If you want a "**** load" more hp AND keep your warranty then you have the wrong car. Best first thing to do is uhhh... search. 6k may JUST about cover the cost of a greddy turbo on stock boost installed with base tuning, which will not get you a "**** load" of power by any means. Around 240-250whp. Granted you can get a little more out of it with complimentary parts and additional tuning, this will cost you more than 6k no questions asked. Only 100+ whp gains are going to cost near 10k with installation... some a bit more, and even then you are still running on stock suspension, stock clutch and flywheel, stock tires... you get what I'm saying yet?

IMO tires are always the best "first" mod. 6k will get you a nice set of wheels/tires/coilovers.

damn i feel bad for this guy! first he realizes the 8 isnt a mustang then he realizes he just pissed everybody off.

il help you out cuz i was new once.......if you added up every single NA mod you can get for the 8 "intake, catback exhaust, super cat, pulleys, fly wheel, int-x ems, headers....etc". you may get 20-30 hp if you are lucky. and your 6k will be gone and youl have a very agressive "sounding" 8.

on the other hand you can say screw your waranty spend 4,500 for a greddy turbo+ some upgrades, like a boost controller and exhaust. and add 60-70 horses at the wheels. i would sugest spending like 6,500. and add the int-x to the package i just stated and get like 280-290whp. thats about 100whp for 6500.

i know when you bought the 8 everything seemed all top fuel drag....think more indy 500 at least thats what i have come to realize.

good luck

rick

troll anybody? btw, all those little bolt ons listed above would not be covered by warranty... not that it would void most/all of the warranty, but that is quite a few parts so if that did matter to the OP, then it doesnt work

It will include:

T304E Turbo with internal Waistgate.
All the mounts, intake and exhaust tubing necessary for installation
Oil Pump
Oil lines
oil Filter sandwich plate

Int-X with a my re-staged injector tune (but less aggressive for safety)
Boost Gauge
AF Gauge and EGT gauge
And I'll even throw in an electronic boost controller.

Why not? This car has been given the chassis, suspension architecture and the brakes for exotic levels of power, from the factory. It is a starter kit just missing the power, which is the easiest problem to resolve.

It depends on what a shitload of HP is in the individual's perception.
To me a 300WHP in our car very well feels like a shitload of HP.
Once we figure out what to do with the coils, 350 and 400 HP is not something that can't be accomplished. Is that a shitload enough? I think so.
Anything over that HP will be just a ridiculous amount, and will render the car a beast. it will be difficult to control, and drive.
so saying that our car and shitload of HP don't go together is absolutely not the truth.

I will be very interested to see what is possible when the ignition gets figured out and people start running meth injection. Could you imagine what would be possible on 9:1 compression - on pump gas?

Is your car paid off? If not then give the 6k to your bank.
