quick q on ptp & sfr

I'll be running a mazsport kit with an AP. I'm not sure of a turbo kit that with modifications cannot be run with an AP. On a system scale, all the turbo kits are the same. Manifold, turbo, wastegate, intercooler, etc. You just need a valid MAF signal and some minor compatibility issues. If it can be done with the Mazsport, I think it could be done with any of the others.

yes, whether it works with the AP depends on the extent of modifications. you have to be willing to redo most if not all the intercooler and intake piping for a top mount turbo.

If it was that easy, Esmeril Racing would have adapted their turbo kit for the Cobb AP but so far it cant be done. If they could I would be buying their kit next week.
PTP said the same thing. Their kit would need major changes for a 3.5" intake.
The Mazsport kit does not count because it no longer exists.

Yes our kit is different then the PTP kit.We are now offering it with a fully tuned Access Port!We converted it to a draw through MAF set-up so it is AP friendly! It actually was very easy to do! But it is our little secret! LOL. Details will be up on our website soon.

Good to see stuff actually happening in the FI development world.

Are you laughing at the Hymee supercharger kit?
I want a reliable power adder that can be tuned with the AccessPort.
We all know the GReddy kit is a piece of crap (been there, done that)
The SFR kit is the only complete turbo kit right now that is capable of using the Cobb AP and this information excites me! I wanna see pics of the 3.5" intake with MAF sensor installed on it before I make a decision.

I hear ya but I am tired of running into problems with turbo kits.
You dont hear very many people talking about twin screw s/c needing a rebuild but turbo's die left right and center. Not to mention the cracking exhaust manifolds.

sfr should be worth a shot
I thought there was a forum member here that was doing his turbo build with the sfr kit. It was being adapted to use the AP. Think his name is wantedtwo or something...

We will put a new thread up regarding the switch to the Access Port once we are finish dyno tuning the car this week.I am surprised there is not alot of info on our kit as we were the second company(Greddy was the first) to come out with a turbo kit in 2003.

Ill post some pics this week of the 3.5" MAF installed. We also utilized screens on each side of the MAF to help fight turbulence associated with using such a large sensor. The only downside is the MAF harness needs to be cut and extended for the new MAF location which is right behind the front bumper, by the hood latch.
