That dyno has to be engine horsepower. Even then I don't like it. Stock horsepower is 210-220 (on the graph), rated by Mazda at 197hp, and who knows if it actually makes that. Combine that with $5000+ for the kit plus install and tuning costs, and the fact that if you have problems you're calling Japan, makes this kit worthless in my opinion. I'd be surprised if they sold any.
I would just wait on a kit from a company that has a customer service based here (unless of course you don't live here :D ) such as Greddy or Blitz or any of the other people with kits in development.

I think, and I have the Modified issue right next to me featureing that car, that it was rated at 325 hp and 256 lb&ft. Who cares it its automatic, at least it has shifter on the steering wheel.
I would trust RE simply because they are probably the best tuner for rotaries in japan, they even have a car in the Japanese GT series, thus quality is to be expect.

325hp? Was that rear wheel or flywheel? Either way I'd still have questions about that number... not only because I saw different figures in the JDM magazine I have, but also because that magazine brought up a point which has also been discussed here... just how much power can the auto transmission take? 325whp sounds like quite a bit for that poor torque converter. Considering the other corners that Mazda cut (low temp cat, 6spd manual trans syncros), I'm willing to bet that the auto's torque converter won't have a long life under those conditions.
AND... check my other post in the ptp turbo thread... RE Amemiya ain't the be all and end all. Talk like that verges on rice. AutoExe is bigger, FEED is good and so is Knight Sports. Not to forget RMagic, Rotary Run Racing, Rotary Revolution and a host of others...

True... but the RE Amemiya auto 8 IS the full Trust/Greddy kit that has been tuned for the auto. I don't even know if they are selling it yet as I have yet to see or hear anything about it being anything more than an engineering exercise by Trust/Greddy and RE Amemiya.
