Recirc adapter installed on GReddy turbo = No more backfires and more

So with the Greddy kit controlled by the emanage and with a BOV inline VTA, many people have postburn issues (backfires), uncontrolled richness with associated stumbling, and general unpleasentness. (It is because the Greddy kit still allows the PCM to control some fuel which requires the MAF. Intx doesnt need this.)

Just got my 19mm Recirc adaptor for my Greddy RS BOV from pTuning. I plumbed this to a 3/4 ID heater hose and into my intake post-MAF with a brass hose barb. I will do the proper thing and weld it later. Pics to follow.

Right off the bat, no more stumbling at part throttle at middling rpms, great boost transition, just remarkable difference in feel and throttle predicability. Plus, NO MORE BACKFIRES!!

I know this sounds funny but this mod makes the car handle better. Why? Because when the car is in a corner, entry, exit or apex, random power inputs will throw the car off line. When you let up on the throttle in a corner, the car tucks in. Now, I know what power is going to the wheels and can move the car better in the corner. It really is remarkable.

Highly recommended.

did you clamp the MAF sensor voltage on the emanage? that should fix most of the backfire/richness under sharp off-throttle transitions.

..i dont know though, maybe it just doesn't work that well

just so you guys know, the greddy bov leaks a little under partial throttle and sometimes at idle.... if you use the HKS bov it shouldn't have those problems and you should be able to vent to atmosphere. however when you shift or let off the throttle and it vents there will still be a rich condition there but the drivability should be better than with the greddy bov.
