G'day guys.
Am about to do a full feature on the latest weapon from ROTORMASTER for ZOOM magazine. This baby revs with serious grunt right through to 9000rpm. All with a standard exhaust.
Damned Joe, put a Hymee system on that test mule would ya.

You can see the battery in the pictures. It is the small red thing on the driver's side next to the intake pipes.
How much boost was this running?
I have a couple of concerns but hopefully this can be attributed to the fact this is just a prototype. The air intake on that is sucking up really really hot air from the backside of the radiator. It would make alot more power if it got outside air. I would have liked to have seen different routing for the intercooler pipes more along the lines of going down and under like some turbo kits have done. This way the intake could be routed to the stock location and it could get colder air. The maf is also after the blower which concerns me. If it is running off of a standalone ecu which only taps into the temperature sensor part of the maf then I fully understand but if they are using a piggyback ecu system they might run into problems. Hopefully this is just a prototype to see if it works and they'll get the bugs worked out of it.
Everyone look at that torque curve. Yes it is flat but it is flat going uphill. Centrifugal blowers are all top end power. They don't have much on the low end. Compare this to the Mazsport Greddy torque curve at about the same peak power level and you'll notice that the Greddy has tons more usable power lower in the rpm range. This is just an inherent side effect of centrifugal blowers.
I'm not insulting them for this kit in any way. I am happy that we are suddenly seeing more and more options out there for this car. I am just merely pointing some things out to make people aware of them. People just need to realize there is more than just peak power to look at.

as installs go, this looks really easy, which is certainly a nice selling point. ECU tuning aside, if you could install your Revi intake, you could install this kit.
Thats the nice thing about supers, they are much easier on the install side than the turbo's. If you had a problem, you could almost put the car back to stock and no one at your dealer would be the wiser.

I have been thinking about a similar set up with the SC positioned with the inlet facing the std air box with the outlet heading across the engine bay into a water to air intercooler and back to the throttle body. in concept it works but space wise it might not happen.

Hmmm, isn't the driver on the side that has the master cyld?
Is the MAF sensor now mounted in that intake tube?

Actually if you look at that dyno chart closely you can see how the boost rises with rpm. The top line is obviously the power as measured in kw on the left hand side of the screen. The lower line is the boost as measured on the right side of the screen. It peaks at about 7 psi or so which matches what was mentioned of .5 bar of boost.

Thanks for pointing out the possible shortcomings of this kit as you said most of the power is up the top end i want more power down low 2000rpm to 6000rpm :D hopefully Hymees twin screw supercharger will offer both low end and top end power ??
My main concern is the TSI unit they are using to control the ECU id much rather see the Mazsport system in place , would it work with this set up ???
