RX-8 Major Project, Thread #2

Hey guys, you may remember from my original thread on here, I'm the guy building a very powerful RX-8. The goal is still set at 600 RWHP with the Renisis. Sorry it's been forever and a day since I last posted, I'm in the military and as you can imagine they keep us busy. Anways, the update, FINALLY the turbo kit has been fabricated up and I actually have a picture of some of the work. Here's a few of the fabricated pieces that's going to be included. Before you ask, NO THAT IS NOT THE TURBO BEING USED. The intercooler has been fabricated as well, with the plumbing being worked out this week. Hopefully, Monday or Tuesday the engine WILL be coming out of the car to have some interior modifications mades. An ECU has been selected, along with some new Mocal Oil Coolers, Transmission Cooler, a Kaaz 2 way Limited Slip (which I've been waiting on forever) Stoptech Brakes (still waiting on the rears, damn it!) Finally received my Volk rims from Japan (WOOHOO). There's been a good bit of progress made, but we still have a LONG way to go. So here you go, it's a simple picture, nothing outragous, yet anyways, so enjoy. I'll try to snap some more photos when I have the oppertunity. Again I appologize for the delay on the posts. I know you guys have put up with people claiming one thing and then never show their face ever again. So here I am, and it's still a work in progress.

Looks very nice!!!

Where will that header put the turbo in the engine bay? It looks like it might be in front of the motor?
What type of turbo are you going to be using to reach your goal?
What sort of "interior modifications" will be done to the motor?

Sorry for all the questions....I'm a curious person :D

Well to answer your first question, yet the turbo will be located in the front of the engine bay. Your other question not 100% sure yet myself. Ray at PFSupercars is making 98% of the decisions and I'm tossing different ideas at him to try and acheive the best possible setup. I trust Rays work because he's been building Rotaries for a very long time, as a matter of fact I bought his personal 93 TT RX-7 from him and that runs 11.20's on a consitant basis. So when when the work is completed, I'll post as many details as possible. I'm trying to get up there this thursday and snap a few shots of the intercooler, and the motor while it's out of the car. If anyone has any questions what so ever, please feel free to ask and I will try to get them as soon as possible. Until next time, take care.
