How many miles?
You might be using your clutch in an improper way. This doesn't mean that you don't know how to shift but we have a weak clutch pedal that tends to flex and even crack in some cases.
I would check your clutch pedal's free play (it should be around 1\2 and 1\4" if i'm not mistaken) and would avoid hammering the synchros for, expecially our 3rd and 4th gear lack the retention hubs and you might end up damaging them with hard shifts.

If your clutch pedal is flexed or leans towards the right i would try and check BHR's product line, they sell a reinforced pedal.

Edit: i would also swap to a clutch that's softer on the gearbox. You don't really need tha rough clamping power. If you don't want to go back to stock you might put an exedy stage I with an upgraded metal release bearing

Aisin transmissions arent that awesome... now get those Camaro transmissions and you are good to go !

Or if you have some dough, switch it up with the 09 version and it would be even better and not take as much hp from the engine.

Talking out of my *** right now, feels pretty good.

If your trans was built with poor parts to begin with then it will always fail.. yeah easy answer..BUT its true! When you are Revving to 9k+ your synchro's hate their lives! Those high rpm's will eat them quite quickly. Hard shifts put a lot of stress on shift forks and shift rods. Not to mention if your clutch isn't fully disengaging all the way your transmission is never fully in neutral so it is still spinning. Like if your clutch line swells up absorbing some of the needed pressure which should be going to your slave cylinder instead.

Good fluid will help, but its only a band-aid. Pennzoil Synchromesh, AKA BG Synchroshift (little known fact, its the exact same stuff) is a great fluid that will help the overall feel of shifting and even supress minor grinds. Top it off with some Redline Shockproof and its a great combo BUT its not a fix all solution...but it is definetly a great combo.

How you drive will always have a greater affect on the life of your transmission as well (i know common sense) Make sure you are fully depressing the clutch when changing gears. I can't tell you how many people gently depress the clutch 1/8 of the way and don't even know they are doing it. And same goes the other way, don't let it out too early. Also save your 1st gear synchro and don't put it into first till the car is at a complete stop. Also when daily driving don't just shove it from gear to gear. Move the shifter into position just before the gear but stop just before you engage it and give it a sec to slow down and let the synchros mesh. Rev matching helps alot too. I know this isn't very helpful when your at the strip, or auto-x'ing in a parking lot, but what do you want? We don't have dogboxes to slap around.

And no not ALL Asian transmissions suck. Subaru and Mitsu have up'ed the ante from the 90's. Sti's and Evo's do pretty good considering the power levels people try to pump through them.

Just my .02.

I have a question about transmission issues also. im in warrenty. but the problem i am having is if i accelerate in 3rd gear to above 5k rpm and then shift to 4th it will grind and fight me untill i push it in. I tried double clutching and also had a guy (frined of mine) from the mazda dealer drive it and he had the same issue (also didnt know what it could be). i dont think it is the synchro because when i go from 4th to 3rd it works great no grinding and when i shift with no acceleration it doesnt have any problems. again, it only happens when going 3rd to 4th and im accelerating to or above 5k rpm. if you guys have heard of this or know any info about it PLEASE let me know b4 i try to have it replaced under warrenty and then they deny me. thanks!

I am currently having this same problem, and its not the first time. When I first got the car I had this problem fixed under warranty. Lets just say they fixed it and it lasted for about 4 months but its back and worse than before. When I first got it fixed I also put an exedy stage 2 clutch in there didnt ever really notice it, but now that I am back to stock clutch it is horrible. Anybody have any guesses as to why it was better with an aftermarket clutch??

see believe it or not when i first bought my car it was the same thing and they "fixed" it also under warrenty and honestly about 6 or 7 months after they "fixed" it then it came back. the higher the RPM the worse/harder it is to get it in gear. thats odd that it is like the same thing for the both of us. and again the reason i am hesitant to bring it up to the Mazda warrenty ppl is because im worried they will deny it and call it "Negligence"

I just reliazed we both have 05s too haha, Dont be afraid to take it to them, unless they can prove that you have been racing on it then they cant deny you warranty. Yeah when I first had the problem it was only really high in the rpm range but now that it is back it starts at about 5 grand and gets worst the higher you go.

yeah that sucks mine is at the point now where if i accelerate to at least 5k it does it and same here it gets worse and worse the higher the rpms. did you say that when you had the aftermarket clutch in that it didnt do it but when you placed the OEM back in it did it???
see i wanna know wtf is causing it to happen.

I'm very curious if the 09 transmission will hold up to FI builds better than the previous years. I guess only time will tell. I have had no problems with my transmission since I changed out the fluid, but I'm about to put a hell of a lot more power through it soon.

yeah, 3rd to 4th isnt so bad. 4th to 5th is 125mph. a tech will do 80mph on the highway, 125mph they wont. however, seeing as i dont do that too often, its not the largest issue on my plate.

I'm starting to get this also. It will happen all the time from 3 to 4, and occasionally from 1 to 2.

I do have an aftermarket flywheel and clutch so I hope the dealer doesn't deny warranty because of this.
