Glad to hear you and the car made it out ok. I picked up a few extinguishers for my project cars and have been meaning to set them in the car, I literally read your post and threw the extinguishers in the cars wow!
Thanks and lol yes please keep one in the car! I only bought my extinguisher after having an injector leak (self induced) a few years back. It's been in my trunk ever since. It was only a little teeny flicker flame today but they can grow so fast so quick and it caused a flurry of "oh **** oh **** oh ****" in my brain as I fumbled to get the trunk open I promptly went and picked up a replacement after I got towed home.

Brettus, for info sake I'm seeing 14-15psi peak in these logs. Peak MAF was 4.81V, so I have some room. So... I plan to replace all my heat shield (the metalized fabric stuff, not the stainless steel), then add some timing back in and then maybe crank it back up to 17psi...
So my current tune is pretty fat (10.8 -11.0 at full load) so I decided to give in to peer pressure and experiment a bit. So I drove her until the fuel light came on and then this morning filled up with 6 gallons of E85 and 6 gallons of 93 (plus the two gallons or so left in the tank). Well, she drives way smoother and I am really impressed so far. I have not really pushed it, but I have gotten into boost enough to feel the difference. I don't know how to explain it other than it just seems to have leaned it out a bit and just runs better.
I will get some data soon, I could not figure out how to switch my PLX wideband to Lambda so i need to break out the book and then got datalog.
Sweet! So did you adjust your fuel delivery at all? Based on the amounts you put in and what was in the tank you are probably in the E35-40 range. When I had a 30% mix my STFT went positive by about 12% and another 12% or so when I went to E50. If you let the ethanol percent lean things out the system will just try to compensate. I got my injectors scaled in and then leaned things out in the fuel tables. I really am glad yomom talked me into this. I'm really happy with the results so far. No sign of timing getting pulled and the car definitely pulls harder with the boost range leaned out. Seems to show how much power is left on the table running rich on gas to keep from pinging. I'm curious to see how much timing I can throw back at it. That's actually what I was going to log when my coolant hose burst. My IDC is peaking at 93% so I need more injector before I can go any farther boost wise.
You don't necessarily need to switch your gauge to lambda. There's plenty of threads on E85 showing what people are targeting based on gasoline AFR.
Oh it seems the flame might have been from my oil catch leaking into the manifold. I need to relocate that

I'm also going to plug the sakebomb ignition kit for a second... Thought my coolant seal finally gave way, bought a parts car, was preparing to do a rebuild, and then decided to try a hail mary. Swapped out my BHR kit for sakebomb and she fired up and ran like a raped ape. I haven't driven my car since May, I think. Made a 6.0 GTO respect the way of the dorito this past weekend hehe
I have not scaled or changed anything in the tune, It has just always ran rich so I just dumped some E85 in it for the heck of it. I likely won't be able to do any more testing until spring... Last Tuesday when I got towed it was sunny and no snow. Over the weekend it turned into a winter wonderland!

How many miles have you driven since you filled up? I drove about 30 miles before my trims leveled off the first time. At your ethanol levels your trims might be in the 17% realm. Be careful boosting, this could throw you into the high 12's (using gasoline AFR numbers). I've only been brave enough to run mid-11's, no issues so far... Take an idle log after the car is all warmed up and see what the STFT is, make sure to clear the ECU first so you have no LTFT. Then scale down your P1s by your idle STFT %. That should get them in the ballpark. Scale down your P2s and Aux by that as well, then slowly try to get up to 0psi and watch your AFR gauge. If looking good then do some 0psi logs and see how far off things are, then scale down your P2s and aux by that much. That should get you in a safer realm but still be careful

I have driven about 30 miles so far. My STFT are at just about 0 but my LTFT are in the 17% range fully warmed up at idle. I will do some logs this weekend and then try to tweak the tune. But it's running pretty well, I may just leave it and try to get up to Steve to have him dial it in. I spoke with and engineer at Five O injectors this morning and he told me that the stock Denso injectors are fine to use with ethanol. I will be emailing Denso to try and get some verification of that.

My wife got me a new smaller FMIC for Christmas, which I am hoping will help with airflow to the rad for cooler temps in summer. She is also getting me a pair of ID725s for my birthday in January, she's awesome! I am currently running up to 93% IDC at 15psi, MAF is at 4.81V. I plan to install the ID725s just so I am not maxing out IDC and leave boost alone at this point.
I went back and did some comparisons with my 17psi logs from earlier last year. Attached are two overlays. I'll preface by saying I don't trust VD for absolute numbers by any means, but they are valuable for showing relative changes between logs. In both the red line is the last 17psi gas log I took before dyno day. The blue is the last 12psi gas log I took a couple months ago. The green line is the last 15psi E50 log I took. In the first overlay the weights are all the same. But I realized I didn't have the subwoofer last year so I added 50lbs in the second overlay for the 12psi gas and 15psi E50 logs. I want to see if either adding fuel or timing will bring up the curve between 4500 and 6500 where it is kinda flat now. And I am pulling the APV open RPM back to 6000 to see about counteracting the lean spike around 6750.

Mine too ..... have found that around there works best . Any sooner and you lose too much power.

As for fuel consumption this last tank was a full tank of E50. I am down to 1/4 tank now and I got 115 miles so far. Normally at 1/4 tank on gas I've gotten around 150 miles. That's a decrease in miles of about 23%, which is pretty close to the 21% I scaled my injectors at this point. I love math! So not super bad, considering the benefits. Plus I was boosting ALOT on this tank
I haven't gone lower. I thought I might as I get more boost. I was at 6k na. Then rolled it back to 5800 as I brought boost up.
The way I figure is if you feel a surge of power and see a big jump in maf when the apv opens. Than you are restricting the engine before they open and loosing power. On the plus side reducing that sudden surge takes away the lean spike.

It is something that changes with how quickly the engine is accelerating as the valve takes a little time to fully activate.

I just put them in on the same dwell as the BHR. Admittedly, this is not where it should be. My screen has went out on my AP(if it's not one thing its another) so I need to send it to cobb to get fixed after christmas. I hear the turn around time isn't bad at all. After I get that fixed, I'll adjust the dwell to stock and go from there. As it sits, I think the dwell I have puts the coils right at the end of the max suggested setting.

Also I've been pondering toying with some AEM coils for fun. My eBay OE style coils are still running strong but I like to tinker
