Yes, mines an auto. It sounded way different compared to other S2 cars so I decided to check it using the Torque app, and I'm like WTF Hot startups are still within a second though. There was a video on YouTube of a similar car with slow cranks. I'll try to find it.

Here's a similar car (automatic Spirit R with low miles) with a slow cranking speed. Mine seems to crank a little faster than this if I'm honest.

Cold start revs though...

Yeah there have been no upgrades to the auto starters as afar as I know. Most auto owners end up killing themselves due to depression before the starter becomes an issue.

Well it's about time you caught up with the times.

Years ahead with E85, yet years behind with the starter. Your a complex web Slash.

No more leak from the rear of the motor, phew! I do have a very slight drip that appears to be coming from the oil filter, sandwich plate or pedestal. But that's about the worst problem I've got at the moment. Pulling decent vacuum, 17-18in/HG with the AC on and 18-19 with the AC off. Both my previous remans pulle 19-20 consistently and 21 in the cold. Hopefully it will improve with some gentle mileage and then I'll do a proper compression test...

I assume your doing your break in with spring pressure only?

Whats the mileage you plan on doing before starting to crank it up? I've heard as little as 1k miles but as much as 4k(which i think would be overkill).

No spring in the waste gate, so no boost for now. I miss it already lol... I think I will go at least 1K miles and see how its doing at that point...

I keep telling Keck that if he sell's his supercharger he will hate an NA 8.

After boosting mine, i can't go back. I would grow to hate the car.

Drive her everywhere, get to the 1k mark lol.

Yeah my wife asked if I was going to take the turbo out and I said no. I won't be pushing it as hard but it will still be boosted!!!

Ash tray is too low. Would love to replace the instrument cluster with one of those though or At the least do something with the nav holder

Haha! You got me there... but I've had enough time under the car for awhile...

Yeah nav location would be cool. I'm kinda fond of the stock series 1 instrument cluster. Not so much series 2 tho.

You have to slowly save for another motor.. once you've saved enough, push the boost.

About that... all I need is 1 rotor, 1 housing and seal kit and I can build a second motor. Maybe a winter project The goal is to not need it, but would be fun to build without the stress of actually having to put it in the car...

Thanks man! I guess I should change my tag line to say "Renesis Apex Seals Out, REW Apex Seals In!"

If I take it to the drag races any time soon I may not be married much longer I'll have to give it some time... Maybe some day.

Getting better mile by mile... I know it's not a compressions test but I take it as a good sign...

So far so good but it's still very early. Only time, miles, boost and tear down will tell the whole story. Maybe in another 2-3 years

I honestly hope they survive that long.

I personally haven't heard of one that works. I thought for a while it was "figured out" but recent information leads me to believe not.
