You guys should offer test rides for those who are in the area.. Me ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
In my mind, that would be a great way to get the idea out there that your system kicks *** and nobody can touch it... It's always a good idea to blow someones mind about your product and get the discussion flowing.

You guys sure like to complain about everything. SFR has brought a great kit to the market or so it appears. It has everything that you would want for reliability and power, it looks great, and has the capability of producing much more power if you want to spend some extra cash for the fuel upgrades. So what if it is more expensive the Greddy kit? Personally, I think this is a higher quality kit and produces more power. These guys have invested a lot of time and money to bring this kit to market for our cars and now all you do is give them a hard time because it is more expensive then the beloved Greddy kit. Personally, I like options and if I were in the market for a turbo kit this would be the one that I would buy. If you guys do this every time something comes out that is more expensive then the competitor’s parts no vendors are going to come on here and we won’t have as many products for our car. Lighten up a little bit and realize that this turbo kit is intended for the Greddy crowd. It’s meant for someone who wants something that looks a little nice, performs a little better, and uses better components. For that you have to pay more.

[QUOTE=AvatarQAZ]I agree. The kits are two different animals. But, it is not apples vs. oranges.
Your kit, from what has been documented thus far, is the superior kit.
If we figure the standard Joe can get 60 whp out of the greddy kit at 3000... that is $50 a pulling pony. Your kit w/fuel management (go w/the TSI to repeat YOUR results) is roughly $8000 (throw in 1-2 other goodies to repeat your results). From this, you get 110 horsepower. Consumers are paying $72.72 per pulling pony for your kit. Although it does boast greater performance, it is currently not competitive pony for pony w/the greddy kit. Yes, some pieces are of higher build quality, I am not overlooking that.
I'm not an economist.. but I think this is called the law of diminishing returns.

For those of you talking about all of this "complaining" or "bickering" - I don't look at it that way. I look at it as an academic DISCUSSION while we wait for more info.
I do have a couple of questions for ya, SFR/SSR:
I do have a couple of questions for ya, SFR/SSR:
- What kind of endurance testing has been done? While ~300 WHP sounds freakin AWESOME, I'm concerned about doing "too" much at this stage. Yes the Greddy kit puts out roughly the same boost, but I have yet to hear any discussions on what this does to the engine in say 5000 miles. I'm hoping you guys have run boost on a renesis for some particular mileage you can share with us w/o problems... or even better yet, run boost for "X" miles then disassembled the engine to see what this has done to it.
- Can you tell us once and for all what happened to the rest of the Dyno graph on your website? I've seen the question asked several times, but never seen an answer...

well its 10pm and stilll no promised dyno sheets/videos that ssr said they would have up today on the forum. Im not trying to bitch but when i was expecting something and it didnt happen that makes me think even more. I havent posted anything about ptpperformance updates because they are getting everything together before they post anything instead of promising this and that and something going wrong. protech has designed a nice kit as well with the 300-325hp. i will know more on tuesday and i will post or start a new thread.

SSR, do not take these comments as bashing. We all appreciate how much time you have devoted to creating your product. You have created a high quality product for those who want all the bells and whistles and one that is hopefully reliable given that you took your sweet time making the finished product

Just curious but if you get bigger injectors but keep the same E Manage program for A/F won't the injectors just flow more fuel. The programming won't know that you have bigger injectors & are flowing more fuel right ? For example if I go from stock 400 cc secondaries to 500 cc secondaries.

You'd want to retune it all the way across the line.

. Get the turbo on a forum member's car here and get it to produce the same results you have and you won't be questioned like this again.

Nemesis, ok I changed my underwear,, HaHa,, Latest update is that Keith from SFR said that they will be posting Dynos and videos shortly, but they first wanted to install the new injectors and run on the the dyno with a test pipe also , to see what they dyno at without the cat.... and that would be something that they would offer also or apart of the kit...

As far as testing goes we have had it completed and running for the past 6 months or so, with the only problem being an oil return leak (fitting was loose).
The reason the dyno ended so soon was because we ran out of fuel and the mixture started getting lean. This week we have to get the new injectors in and we will then re-dyno it.
I'll work on getting the videos of it up too.

Nemesis8, No I'am not the test car, But I'am the first or second on the list to purchase this Turbo, but maybe that's close enough... I have been waiting such a long time (like everyone else) to FI my 8, and I have been gathering info from you guys and offline from well known Rotary experts.
I know we still have alittle ways to go , but if this system can make the hp as they claim, this one will be the one I purchase.. And as far as reliability is concerned, I have talked to three experts, one engineer and two race car rotary mechanics who are very respected in the field of Rotaries.. and they have told me that with proper tuning 10psi boost is no problem what-so-ever.... on thoses seals....they are the experts I have no reason not to believe them, their doing something right.... Am I anxious , Damn right spring is around the corner and I want to install the FI...

would it be possible for you topost the dyno results on what you have already?? I know it's not the final target, but I'm curious as to where in the rev range your power comes in and what sort of torque increase you're getting.
Your project sounds very exciting... will you be shipping down under?
