Are you doing a different exhaust for the turbo? Or was this just to free up space to work?

Both. I already have the TurboXS Catback but am replacing my RX8Store HF Cat with the TurboXS Catless Midpipe and it will be a lot easier to get the manifold off without the exhaust there.

Might have to see if we can work something out on those pieces if they aren't already spoken for.

lol...This is all the easy stuff Jeff. I will be slowing down over the next few weeks because I won't be home on any weekends. Come the first of the year, hopefully, I will have all my parts so I can get on with the harder stuff...

I'm still waiting on the most important part. The turbo! Turbonetics didn't have the water cooled CHRA so it took them a couple of days extra. Should be getting it this week.

I also still need to order a bunch of other stuff. When you start getting parts you realize just how much you still need to get.

Planning on an install party one weekend in January. Just need to see what everyones schedules look like...

I got it from TurboXS's website.
http://www.turboxs.com/shop_car4.php?car=16

It was like $165 shipped I think....It is a "true" 3 inch midpipe so it will only work with the TurboXS catback unless you want to modify the outlet to fit another exhaust. I already had the catback so I just got the midpipe but my suggestion would be to buy the catback because it comes with the midpipe for free. The TurboXS exhaust tips are ugly and too short so I bought some chrome tips off of ebay for less than $100. A little welding and your set to jet...

As in a custom build, or just a new turbo?

I would love to do a custom kit, but noone offers a manifold alone... otherwise I would've been FI by now.

Yeah, that's what I thought... I remember earlier this year I met up with eviltwinkie in Austin for an install party, and he was telling me about them.

Yar...went by and manhandled the kit...if you notice the smudges on the pipes in the pictures...those are mine....

I have my own personal reasons for not using them...cant say that I am a big fan of protech....

But living here will do that to you...

Yeah, I remember you telling me something along those lines, but I didn't want to say anything... kinda sucks when someone just spent a load of money somewhere, then you hear something bad... but that was your own personal opinion.
