My wife watches it but I don't really pay attention. She told me that Quagmire says that, so now I'm in the know. Thanks!

Yeah, that's it! It increases flow through the turbine.
The serrations are for heat dissipation.

It was a used rebuild.
The rebuilder chose not to change the turbine wheel, despite its obvious damage.

Well, that might be good advice if you don't know the rebuilder.
Though, in this case, it appears that a shop well known to this forum did the rebuild so, caveat emptor.

No, that's ChickenWafer's used GReddy. He's going to be using one of my Garrett upgrades.
That GReddy turbo is salvageable, but it will need a new turbine wheel.

Fresh rebuild from a reputable company on this forum......it's still usable but not the best solution, plus it has some other problems. Jeff covered most of it

I drained the oil and coolant and removed the manifold and airpump yesterday. While I was at it I decided to go ahead and install the Mazsport motor mounts. I really like the mounts. They free up a lot of room down there. The only problem I can see with them is as has been stated before these mounts move the engine up and back towards the firewall. I need to remove them so that I can get the oil filter off because it is wedged up against the firewall. Not that big of a deal but if you plan on using the motor mounts I would suggest getting an oil filter relocation kit.

I have spent the greater part of the last week trying to get the little stuff. The hardest things to get have been the flare to metric adapters that fit the water feed and return lines for the turbo and the flare to metric adapter that fits the oil return line to the Greddy oil pan. Not because they were that hard to find but because I didn't know all the sizes were.

I plan to go to the welding shop today to get my EGT bung welded into the downpipe and some work done to my catback.

Only 20 more days to install!!

I've only had them for about a week, Ray.

The problem is mostly due to my ignorance and the oil filter I have. I knew I needed to remove the oil filter before I started on the manifold and motor mounts but I forgot to do it. Plus, I am using the Mobile1 M1-110 filter. It is larger than OEM and I'm sure Mazsport manufactures their products based on OEM. Anyway, Its easy to fix because I still have not tightened anything up yet.

I removed the UIM this weekend so that I could get my injectors out. I will be sending them to be cleaned and tested tomorrow. Once you get all the crap out of the engine bay there really isn't much left.

Attached is a picture of what my engine bay looks like now. I am also attaching a picture of what the turbo looks like with all the fittings installed!

Did I mention I'm getting really excited!

Certainly not as difficult as it is expensive.
