325.1 x 1.12 = 364.112 also it keeps up with my buddy's 300+awhp WRX just fine
not saying you're wrong in all cases but this one yes.
OK - i saw the pic saying 325hp and am not totally dismissing your claim because I'm sure that kind of power is possible with your kit . At 5psi though ? No way -not even in your wildest wet dream . 9-10psi at peak whp rpm ...yes .

BTW : Your problem is likely to be associated with the maf placement and the bend just before it . That is one issue ..but i'm sure there are others as well.

Also : a 260whp rx8 would keep up with a 300awhp wrx no problem - a 360whp rx8 would destroy it ......

ok so I do not know exactly how tuning works to include AFRs I know that 14.7 is ideal but I also know that my car just seems to be burning straight gasoline because it smells of straight gas out of the tail pipe so I am getting in contact with my tuner and trying to get a full scoop as to what all he did to try to help diagnose my issues and I don't have a boost gauge in it yet however it better be 5lbs I told them no more than that because I am not trying to blow an apex seal with less than 70k miles... so hopefully tomorrow I will have the full of what he did.

14.7 is ideal for a NA piston engine, definitely to lean for a Turbo rotary assembly, it would just simply burn to hot. If you check out Mazda Maniac's Greddy Turbo fixes your source for the waste gate will produce surges in power like you described (even if it's not the same kit). If it smells like gas real bad, this is common of a extremely low compression motor it will not have a proper burn in the combustion chamber.

Definitely trust Brettus with the boost numbers then, it might even be more then 9 or 10!! Don't be to quick to blame the tuner check to confirm that the hose for the waste gate is still connected and not broken anywhere (and verify what the stock waste gate with your kit is designed for the spring may simply be to strong to produce just 5psi). Being you have a misfire in the first chamber do a compression check for sure this will confirm our thoughts, at this point rather then spend money I would just to a basic compression check without the proper tool to get a rough ideal.

Not a bad situations, engine's are cheap and not to hard to swap (except for the top 2 bell-hosing bolts). But you must do some of this stuff yourself or it costs an arm and a leg.

Also a word of advise, definitely not a jab, you need to familiarize yourself with your setup much better and be more involved with your tuner and be able to sense when something is off, regardless of "bolt on" and this is what this guy did, every setup will have slight variations and you need to now some basic things to check that can have catastrophic failure for the motor. Don't get discouraged it's just an opportunity to learn even more about your car.

update is I pretty much gave up on the current build until I can afford a new engine and find someone competent with RX8s to work on and tune it.
