Yes, finding their website was simple. But not the information as to why they use small turbos, which I could not find on their website. As for the information possibly not being available, I assumed it was since it is what MazdaManiac is recommending as a good read.

I've destroyed 5 diaphragms on two separate Turbosmart wastegates over the last year. A wategate-preferred path puts most of the heat from the exhaust directly into the WG piston. I am trying a TiAL water-cooled gate now, but the next design will probably have two such gates.
When I was using an internal gate, I would destroy a turbine housing - cracking the wall between the main discharge and the WG flap - every couple of months.
Just read this, have you considered Kevlar diaphragms?

#50 is gone for a mechanical problem to a joint. Unfortunately not car related!

Well, the go to guy is Elliott (turblown). His kits are as plug and play as it gets, the low mount variant doesn't even need the removal of our beloved OMP.
Shoot him a pm!

no good - flow at low PR is less than a 3071 . You want high flow at low PR for a turbo rotary .

freshened engine, basically a factory REW keg with ceramic seals and porting, now making 480 hp/435 tq at the rear wheels .....

This is the dyno from the FD3 v-mount discussion in the GTX3576 thread, Precison turbo that is almost equal to the GTX3071R with only a .78 A/R divided T3 turbine on divided low mount and stock block 13B REW, full 20 psig boost @ 3100 using 110 octane gas

specs are slightly better than the Precision turbo on the FD3 above (3mm larger turbine). The question is, will it fit on a Greddy manifold, hmmmmmm .....

Stupid question;
How do you estimate these lines? How steep they are, and when they will level out(-ish?)

can't really, it's just a guess running some theoretical calculations (see page 1).

one on left is full boost @ 2000 rpm, other is @ 2500 rpm

in reality it's a curve rather than a straight line

At 2.1 PR the Renesis can flow over 60lb/min depending on setup ..... So not sure what you are trying to show here ?

While 60 lb/min is the rated limit for this turbo, I'll let someone else argue the accuracy of that assessment. If MM was still here that would be a certainty

If you had the fuel right and could hit 350 hp @ 3000 rpm (just an exaggerated example) and maintain it to rev limit by controlling boost is that a bad thing? Not everyone wants to push the engine to it's unreliable high rpm limit.
