Turbo installation problems
I started putting the Greddy kit on today... ran into a few problems
1. The oil line doesn't seem to be long enough. Is the T-fitting suppose to face up or down?
2. The studs that connect the turbo to the manifold and the turbo to the down pipe piece dont seem to be long enough for the washer/nut to fit on securely.
3. How important is the aluminum head shield thing because I have a feeling it will fall off as soon as it gets wet.
4. Is the down pipe piece suppose to go on last or is it suppose to go up all in one piece because in the instructions it didn't say to put the down pipe piece on with the turbo and I cant seem to fit it in with the turbo and the engine mount bolted up.
thanks

Im in the process of doing my install too and you are alittle ahead of me so I can only help with number 2, you have the studs in upside down. The longer threded side should point up. The short threaded side goes into the manifold.

1. get rid of that T and buy a oil filter sandwich plate (where u located i have one for sale)
2. are teh studs in the right way? the studs on turbo and manifold there is a short threaded side and long threaded side make sure the short side gos into the manifold and into the turbo houseing.
3. that heat sheild that is supplied with the kit or it comes with that u stick onto the car is crap buy some beatter heat shielding
4. install turbo then install downpipe and then u can install the midpipe

Where did everyone install their e-manage thing. I was going to put it in the engine bay but figured it would get too hot. Also, how important is the heat shielding? Because I put what they supplied around the turbo and am worried that may not be enough.
thanks

I think most people put the eManage in the glove box. If you have the money, go with a Cobb. Emanage is crap now that we have better alternatives. Not sure about the heat shielding. I upgraded the turbo to be water cooled so Im only going to put the with some heat tape on the firewall, not wrapping turbo.

E-Manage Ultimate = good
If you don't change the boost level at all it might be ok, but if you plan to turning up the boost past 6 psi you are going to need a custom tune and a few other upgrades.
