Ultimate reading incorrect rpms

Ive been trying to tune out a lean spot in the upper rpm's but the ultimate isn't reading the right rpm's. When I use map trace and datalog the rpm's and rev it up in neutral, it pulls values from the right columns and reads the rpm's just fine. But when I go and do a 3rd gear pull to redline it only reads up to 8200-8300 and wont get the right values in the maps so its running lean. I cant figure out why it wont read it right when its under load. I searched and didnt come up with anything. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

^ You need to go back SDAIS school

SSV Secondary Shuttle Valve opens around 4800 RPM
APV Auxillary Port Valve opens around 6250 RPM
VDI Variable Dynamic Intake Valve opens around 7200 RPM

I don't this has anything to do with his question though

No its not a problem with the valves opening. The upgrade kit (thats what I'm using) disables them and uses a blocking plate anyway. The problem is the emanage not reading the correct rpm's under load.

Just a thought that came to me today. Maybe the ultimate is reading the correct rpm's and the tach is not as precise? So I shouldn't worry about it. Anybody agree with this?

tach is about 500 rpms out at peak rpms .

when you are doing 9000 tach reads 9500 .

Thank you very much! That's what it's off by. Problem solved (even though it never existed)
