Thumbs up V mount intercooler installed

I had V mount intercooler installed on my RX-7 years back, its been cooling my FD down to 75-90 degree. It never hits over 95 degree at race track. On my RX-8 it always hits from 93-106 degrees. I had it at 116 degree when I hit 253KM/h. My 8 has stock greddy turbo kit on. So I think it is time for her to cool off this summer. I ad my friend's 8 to do this first, since he is putting on a new greddy turbo kit. Here are some photos. I'll post more as we work on ...

good luck. I've always been tempted with this idea as well.

However, these pics are really a headache. Some pics further away would be nicer.

I know, there are many things in its way. This is harder than FD.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this install.

are you worried about heat soak on the intercooler? my front mount is always ice cool on the cold side but if it was in the engine bay, then I'm sure the cold side would be too hot to touch.

Some might ask for how our turbo kit looks like. Well, here it is on my friend's 8. He uses smaller turbo, but I'll be putting on K27 KKK turbo on my. Should be able to hit 400HP no problem.

He's talking about the oil cooler lines on the radiator/tranmission cooler. On auto's they are an all in one unit.

This 8 used to be a 4 port AUto. We have convert it to 6 Speed. Just like my 8. It was 4 port Auto. Now is 6 port 5 speed. Very rare.
