Question 4-port Engine randomly loss power

If MDW1000 are correct about 4-port are having hard time ingest air and causing loss of power, which it makes sense.

I notice most of time that my engine loss of power are during 75 degree and above. Usually in the morning after i warm about 10 min and when i drive my car it got power. like tonight the weather lower back to about 65 my car runs fine again. Maybe because i have a open K&N intake the typoon one. since its open and its under my hood, maybe all it sucking in is the hot air causing loss of power. But then again its not proven yet.

what do you guys think?

my car feels 'limp' in high temps above 90 degrees since I got the typhoon intake also. I got a ram air duct to alleviate that issue.

Are you sure its not something else; ie cat, coils, etc, etc. Loose vac line maybe?

It can...but i doubt it, because what you said sound like the typhoon intake sucking in hot air and making it slow.

yea, i dont know about yours but the V2 makes a rechid MIAC sound at WOT in high temps and the car seems sluggish. Its been mentioned by a few members including myself.

IDK, it sounds good though

It's probably your intake. I tried an HKS intake for two days and couldn't believe how much low end power I lost. I had to floor the pedal to get moving on hills, and it sounded like an angry cow when I had to do that, whereas I only need a light touch to get moving with the stock intake. I don't experience any power loss with the stock intake and it's 82-85 degrees all year round where I live. The car just simply feels even more peppy with lower temps.

This is true. Heres my analysis.

70 degrees and lower- my V2 feels faster than stock

71 degrees and highter - my V2 is annoyingly loud and my car is slower than stock.
