4port engine blew rear seal at 77k...
well... not much happens in the AT section so i figured id pop in here and give an update.
today i was cruising on the highway and i downshifted, felt a shudder, no power but engine was going. popped a light, then completely shut off. luckily had my code reader and my 2nd rotor failed. 5 hours later it turns out I blew my real seal. honestly cant say im surprised. its not like i drive crazy and never give it oil. i baby the car, but i know its reputation....
ill give updates when i learn some more. considering i bought it used ill probably be taking it to rotary performance in garland, texas. im hoping ill be able to replace the seals vs the whole motor.
my nissan project car is looking better and better... ugg

Yeah if you go to Rotary Performance they would charge you to rebuild it. If the motor is blown you should have it towed to Town North Mazda in Richardson and have them fix it under warranty. Mine rear rotor went at 89K and was fixed under warranty.

Same thing just happened to me a week ago. I knew my rear rotor was screwed but I was still driving. I did not want to take it to the shop until it died on me completely, because I had no idea about the warranty. Got it back today, free brand new engine.
