AT 4SPD to 6SPD Possible?

New to the RX-8 just recently got my dream car however was wondering if anyway to get the 05 model with 4SPD AT to the 6SPD AT?

It's likely easier and more cost effective to sell the car and buy the one you actually want.

Thats interesting. Dont think I've ever seen someone wanting to switch to the 6's but keep the automatic transmission.

appreciate the reply guys and yes i did see the swap from auto to manual but wasnt sure if it was the same... If anything yea i would swap to manual but wife likes to drive the car as well so was a thought.

I say stick with the 4 speed. I have no meniscus in my left knee anymore and i have a torn right rotator cuff, I gotta dd a auto for now.
I went from my 5 speed fc to a 04 4 speed 8 and i enjoy the gears. I drove a buddys 6speed mt and i wasn't that amazed.

The paddle shifter is kinda like manual, well not really

I'm pretty sure the OP was wanting to get the newer 6sp AUTO transmission swapped in, not a 6sp MANUAL.
I was wondering about this as well, but read that there would be a lot of complications with the wiring and PCM. Searching does wonders.

Anyways, 1st post!
