Check out the A/T Performance forum. It has been done--1 member has Greddy turboed his A/T. In out the box trim without any further fine tuning he is getting acceleration times equal to or slightly off from the 6spd RX8. The only thing is the turboed A/T is able to repeatedly get mid to low 6 second 0-60 times while a 6spd must be dropped at over 6 grand. Not sure if its a worthwhile investment--considering you could trade into a 6spd for the 3 to 4gs it'd take for a turbo job. Now maybe if a stall converter and a/t cooler is added you would see some 0-60 times in the 5s--otherwise higher boost is needed. I would imagine that a boosted A/T would have some nice 50-70 numbers.

Bummed, but bring on OU!
The turbo AT's 0-60 time reminds me of my old Volvo C70 T5 (236hp, 240tq, fwd, 3300lbs). 0-60 in 6.2sec (stock), high 14's 1/4 mile, but always trapped higher than the time would indicate. Saw one trap at 101mph once (stock). A 14.7 'should' trap low-mid 90's -ish. Turbos rock :p. It had a torque limiter program in the ecu for off the line starts to limit torque steer. It was a beast on the highway though. I imagine the turbo AT would perform similarly (but handle a couple orders of magnitude better :D )
