I think you should try a JATO rocket strapped to your roof.

(Didn't the MythBusters guys try that one?)

nothing that really helps performance, I threw it in there hoping it would keep my battery alive a bit longer

Tank the OE batt and replace it with an Optima.

As for power. intake/exhaust may give some, maybe.
You could do methanol injection, NO2 (to date most bang for $), piggyback and tune the car.

other than that....... Fi is the next step.

While the stock nav system is nice, just get a aftermarket nav system. It can be added, but most likely not by you.

You would hardly even notice a difference in your goal of 16 hp. Bolt on mods are nice, make your 8 look better, breath better, sound different/better but the $ to HP is not very good. God knows I have enough of them, but FI will be your best bet for a power that you can measure and feel. HP gains with bolt-ons seem to good for one 8 and the next feels no difference. I experienced a 20hp gain with the Interceptor X and others only a marginal difference. In the end, unless you go FI the bolt on stuff is just glitz with little or no HP change.

FI = F/I = Forced Induction = turbo and/or Super Charger and/or nitrous.

Bolt on stuff that would actually make a difference = lightweight flywheel, lightweight wheels, lightweight brake rotors, lightweight calipers, lightweight exhaust, lightweight battery. notice a trend?

You could easily drop 100+ lbs

Your biggest bolt on horsepower gain is probably going to be a highflow cat or a catless midpipe.

If a shop installs a turbo system on your car it's gonna run you about $8000.00 +- including turbo system.

aside from esmeril's payment plan thing - does any other company allow installments when purchasing a FI kit? (S/C or T/C) or do you have to have the money up front??

i ask because i know a lot of people don't have the money up front but would love to go FI when faced with the need for power...Me being one of them.
