How much RWHP will I have?
I already have a Cobb AccessPort and already have the hi-flo cat installed, and have numerous other parts that CRH will be installing for me.
Here's what I am going to have installed by Ray:
1) I have these SRMotorsport Pulleys & belts, bought the set when I had to replace my catalytic converter:
http://www.srmotorsports.com/RX8_Power_Pulleys.html
2) Mazmart upgraded water pump
3) Mazmart upgraded starter
4) Mazsport upgraded fuel pump
5) Mazsport ignition solution
6) Mazsport turbo kit which includes wastegate, downpipe, greddy bov, air to air intercooler, (2) 780cc secondary injectors, (2) 650cc injectors, battery relocation tray, all 4 trailing spark plugs (I was told that using all trailing and no leading are better when turbo'd so I bought 4 trailing), mazsport upgraded spark plug wires, cold air intake with K&N air filter, and the Greddy upgraded oil pan
7) Blitz boost controller + modified ashtray for the blitz controller
- Also includes the electrical harness to monitor 3 external voltages
- Also includes water temperature sensor
- Also includes oil pressure sensor
8) Second oil cooler from Mazmart
9) BHR Radiator + Agency Power Silicone Radiator hoses
10) AEM Meth kit
11) GReddy air diversion panel
12) GReddy Rear Strut Tower Bar
13) JIC 4 point front strut tower bar
14) StopTech stainless steel brake lines + Edelbrock/Russell DOT 5 brake fluid, #671441
15) Progress sway bars (front/rear) + Evo-R sway bar endlinks
I will be running 6psi. How much rwhp should I expect to have in my automatic (new engine late '07) after all of these mods?
What is the main speed at which I will notice the most difference in power? I mean, will I go the 1/4mi in the same time and 0-60 in the same time? If 0-60 is the same, would I go 60-100 faster?

UPDATE 10/28/08
I spoke with Scott @ Mazsport yesterday and he told me (Scott - correct me if I misquote, I should have wrote this down when it was still in my mind yesterday) I will get ~270whp @ 14 psi. He said that due to the fact that it is a 4 port automatic, I already have a lot less power to work with. He said that most of the turbo kits he's sold to automatic owners have gone to Europe, and he hasn't received or done any dynos on AT RX-8s with his turbo kit.
Assuming my AT RX-8 gets 140whp right now, that's almost double the hp to the wheels. From his sig, 09Factor is getting "185 HP and 242 Tq @ 2800 RPM @ 5 psi" with the GReddy turbo, I know you can't compare turbo to turbo hp for hp, but if you could that would be 353ft-lb torque.
One other thing to note, the 270whp is at 14psi, I doubt I am so daring. I will probably never venture above 8psi, and in fact I'll probably be content at 6psi. Even with Water Injection using the AEM meth kit, I just don't think it's worth the risk of trying to run my car at 14psi.
At this point I just want the temps to stay low, fluids to flow, and my AT to go go go!!
What's funny is the that some MT can get over 400whp with turbo and us AT, despite all that we may do, will likely never get to 300whp. I'll try to do a dyno after everything is installed and tuned - that's the only way I'll know for sure.

In your opinion what would be the best psi to run at? How much psi do you imagine Mazsport was running to achieve 350-375rwhp with the same setup in a manual? It's not my daily driver anymore, but obviously I don't want to blow my engine by running something ridiculous like 15psi.

If you want to play things safe - you need to research the parts you've purchased. I've had some serious issues with the fuel pump and ignition.
To be fair, I can't say that everyone who has purchased those parts have had issues, so your mileage may vary.
Personally, I liked the 12 PSI range. I figure that put me in the 340 whp range, but the flow characteristics of different turbos are different, so you can't say "X psi gives you N whp"

In the end, I love my RX-8 as it is now, plenty fast and can't complain. I've driven so many different cars, the handling is by far the best and it's the most fun to drive. If I can double the power, great, if not, it's not any less fun to drive. Win-Win situation.

You can check out My Garage (see my signature) for a couple exterior shots of my car.
Really though my car is more for my enjoyment on the weekend and to take the wife out to dinner than anything else. It's got the body kit, it's got a full blown sound system pushing a clean 1000wrms, it's got the looks, feel, smell (thanks to my hi-flo cat I can smell everything lol), and touch and with the turbo kit and the other mods it will give me a taste of speed - all 5 senses fed complimentary by a single car

It's not that simple. If your fuel pump suddenly stops working while you're in boost, your engine is toast. You say in one statement you want to be safe, then in the next, you say you're going to just see if it works out or not. It's much cheaper to make sure things work before something goes wrong.

Well technically anything can stop working at any time, it's not like Mazsport's fuel pump is the only thing in the car that can stop working. I've had my fair share of crap stop working, like my engine's apex seal breaking causing my car to die & idling rough. If Charles looks at it and sees potential issues or says it's faulty or whatever, then we'll deal with it at that time and decide where to go then. I'm definitely for being safe, it's just a reality that **** sometimes goes bad and even if we thoroughly test it for 2 days straight, who's to say it won't stop working suddenly when I'm in boost a month later? If it's going to be random & stop working - it's going to be random when it stops working.
I do value your advice and would like any more information you can give regarding things to watch out for or to check while we're doing the install.

A little disclaimer, I too have had issues with Mazsport, but not in regards to their products, more the time it takes them to assemble, pack and ship their products and keep me informed. I talked with Scott a few weeks ago about the issue and I got half my stuff in last week, he's working on getting me the rest. So do I share some common issues with Mazsport? Sure. But can I say I won't use their product because other people have had it fail on them? No. People have their computers fail on them, they have their air conditioners fail on them, hell we even have our hearts fail on us. Nothing in life is stable forever, and in the case of Mazsport's products I would rather give them a chance than to knock them because other people had issues.
I fully understand what you're saying - that you suggest I avoid using the fuel pump and ignition because you had problems with them & that if I want to be safe, I will not use those parts. What I'm saying is, I've bought things brand new before, take them home, and they don't work. I've got food from a vending machine that had a maggot in it. I've had my fair share of **** go wrong, when it shouldn't have. You had problems with Mazsport's products, some others have had problems with them, but it's not 100% certain that I will have problems with their products. I understand the risk associated with using their parts, but there's risk associated with everything.
It's not that I don't appear to understand what you're saying, it's that I am a skeptic that things are as bad for everyone as they are for the people that the bad things happen to. If you see my body kit, you wouldn't believe what company it's from or that it looks as good as it does - because the company is SO bad and makes **** products that don't fit - oh wait but my car apparently is the exception. Things like that, and the randomness of live, make me proceed and want to see what happens.
In all honesty I'm not trying to be rude at all, I was just wanting to know how much rwhp I would get with the said equipment and you answered my question - thanks.

Thanks, I'll likely create a post with the images of the install, before, after, & during.

You are using the best installer I know of to install your stuff and if he does not think it's in your best interest, he will be reluctant to install it. Ray has experience with FI AT cars.
#19
Perfect - I looked again and saw the Cobb AP - going blind in my old age. I hate ever to agree with mysql but Ray will advise you best. Ray's in the middle of my rebuild and he has a turbo install this weekend in Cali. Busy boy.
#20
Ya know, with Charles' popularity, I'm beginning to wonder why he doesn't start his own company selling parts and doing installs?
#21
Hi simplyphp,, I'll be coming With Ray on your install. This is going to be good indeed. I'm going to be on the conservative side and say about 260 hp. Until you increase the boost and do some tuning.
#22
Just kidding, I look forward to having both of you here, if you do end up coming along with Ray.
And if you want to bring some awesome AT-compatible products that aren't already listed (not sure if there's anything else you can do to my AT) to see if I want to buy them, feel free. How can the wife say no when you're already here doing the install
