what rear dif ratio does the auto have? the same 4.44? whats the rpm at 70 mph in top gear?

Yes 4.44

70mph puts it at right around 2800rpm i think, 3300rpm at 80mph (indicated mph)

I have the oportunity to buy an auto at a very cheap price, the firts thing i'm going to do is change the final gear ratio to a 4.77 and seee how it feels and maybe go for nos in the future.

Too bad we don't have options for changing the gearing in the rear-end...this would probably help on the gearing for us auto guys, especially if doing a swap to the 6sp-AT isn't going to be an option.

Mat be some time soon we will have the option of changing the gearing in the rearend.

Try starting the manual in 2nd(2.27:1), shift to 3rd(1.65:1), then shift to 5th(1:1) and you'll understand better.
Yea I hit 80mph in 2nd once.

I'll swap engines in a few yrs to 6sp mt but dunno if I should get the current engine tho maybe something else.
