actually it was a throttle body but anyway. you know every post i've seen you reply to you've said nothing positive about these cars why don;t you just drive your car around do no upgrades and be happy. and all of us will just waste our money till we find something that makes our cars faster that way you can sit back and laugh it all up. hey if you're really lucky we'll find nothing at all and you would have been right all along yay for you but untill than why dont; you just keep your mouth shut cause noone wants to hear you.

Did you buy at Ebay for $210 last week? I was ready to buy but did one last research and when I returned the auction was pulled. The seller told me he would have more this week but I have not found them yet. So far so good?

I bought K & N Intake on Ebay this afternoon. Auction lasted eight minutes from start until I bought, paid, and auction ended. My intake has been shipped already. Road Runner- performance is the seller. I am impressed, very impressed so far. I paid $225 including shipping. To be clear it is the new intake and not the old one.

I got mine from vividracing. This is the first major mod that I made to my car. I have to say that after installation, I like my 8 even more. It almost feel like that feeling I got when I first drove it from the dealer.

I have the same question Mike does as far as the warranty. I got a Mazda Certified used car warranty, so I have 5-years bumper-to-bumper that I dont want to void out. But I'd love to do something like this to my car, even though like MIke, I'm not all that car-saavy (though I want to be hehe)

If you click on installation instruction sheet, you can determine if it is too hard for yourself. I dont think it should be too hard to do it yourself. The instructions look pretty detailed.
But if ya can't it, I dunno how much it would cost. You could try callin a few shops in your area and see how much they'd charge. I'd imagine they would just charge their hourly labor.
As for the warrenty, I would imagine that it wouldn't void it. If something does go wrong, they'd have to determine that you air intake caused it before they can void it, but I hear Mazda is voiding warrenties for bs reasons. If I had an intake, I would just take it off before taking my car in just to be safe
Theres also a dyno sheet on that page to prove their gains with the intake, but then anyone can fake a dyno sheet....
