Yes. Search for Easy_E1. He did this with no problems whatsoever.

You can do a Super Charger , Nitrous Shot or a Turbo with the transmission. It's stronger than you think.

anything over 55 you would need to somehow retard timing.. nothing rx8 specific yet.

leerx: welcome.
Do a few searches and read up on a thread made by Charles R Hill regarding the use of nitrous in the RX8. That will teach you A LOT of what you need.

THEN go read up on Easy's setup. Easy_E1 has a 75 shot in his car but he does not recommend anyone else run that setup without LOTS of research and planning.

it was the same plastic manifold, he blew it because he was spraying nitrous at low RPM and high load.

puddling resulted in a nitrous backfire. had my own a few weeks back, though not too sure why it happened.

leer, you are obviously a bit uneducated on nitrous with the rx8.

If you are serious, search through the major horsepower upgrades forum and search through the nitrous threads. You can also PM charles Hill if you are serious, he is pretty much rx8club.com nitrous guy.

55 shot is what we use, it has been proven to have the least amount of problems and is relatively 'safe'.

Some have used 65 shot but they have had some issues with it.

100 shot is not an option, our car is not a camaro

Just search around and you will find a lot of information thatll help you with your decision making and install.

Easy blew the manifold off his 8 at seven stock but don't tell him I told you Luckily some one had a 4 port manifold and he was able to drive it home I think that was his 100 shot This is only for fun and to tease Easy - read what CRH has to say about nitrous before you blow both the manifold and yourself up.

What's all this talk about me?

Yes I blew up a manifold. High engine Load and Low RPM's are not a winning combination. While spraying Nitrous.

I would suggest you go with the 55 Shot and NOT A DRY shot either. It must be a WET SHOT.

The Nitrous by itself with out added fuel is a NO WIN situation. It will run lean until it blows up. Which would not be very long.

I'm running a 75 shot at the moment. But I have many hours of tuning time with Mazdamaniac. Many hours! And I still feel a little leery every time I floor it.

Just do the 55 shot with the ZEX 82021 kit from BHR. And get the BHR throttle Body Spacer. Makes for a much cleaner and simpler install.

And yes I have a 4 port AT putting down 174 WHP.
