trying to get this car to an amatuer drift level.....o and dont buy a hypertech there fuel maps suck. I have thought about dropping a 20b in it but wasnt sure all the stuff involved in swaping motors or if any of the other parts are compatable by other parts i mean transmission, computer etc. ive looked for a Cobb acsess port but it seems they dicountinued the one for my car and onnly one i could find was the hypertech like i said is junk, it added some power but also flooded it as well so yeah dont buy one. i alread have a fidanza chromoly flywheel with a stage 5 6puck clutch but wanted to wait on the engine mods and just do it all at once. Also have a guy that builds rotory engines around here thats a friend of mine he says he can get billet rotors with 3mm apex seals around a grand so that part doeasnt sound bad considering. The whole goal is turbo charging it but after finding out about the apex seal issues people have with them wanna make sure there good 1st.

You can still get AccessPorts through MazdaManiac with his tuning service.
Not sure what you mean by amateur drift level. If you want to drift, there is nothing stopping you even with a stock car. Start doing it, you'll get a better idea of what the car needs. Hint: its not boost.

Its simple to drift the 8 just be sensitive with the throttle as rotory are fun like that.
But for my auto 6 speed i found 2 gear a bit harder to control and would like to oversteer past the revs of 6,400 k so i try to just keep it right below it to keep most control. Also a rainy day makes it much more easier lol
