Turbo AT

Hi ive posted about this question before and searched, and i get mixed answers all over the place. I want to know for sure what need to be done before I unload a couple thousand. In order to put the greddy turbo on an AT u need to a diffrent Piggyback ECU and bigger fuel injectors. Well I wanted to know what Piggy back u need and what kinda injectors you need. Also is there anything else I need since I want to make sure about this before I say good bye to 3000 dollars. Well any input would help.

Well...there is a thread on here about a guy that did this to his, I don't have any specific info but I'd recommend you find that thread though. I would also wait a little bit because Hymee and Pettit are coming out with A/T compatible superchargers.

It's tempting to just go get custom FI for the AT. People have been saying there are new turbos and superchargers coming out soon for the last couple years. Can we really know that it's soon? The AT will take more effort after the 6 port versions of these systems are released.

You could get by on the emanage. We only have 2 sets of injectors (as opposed to 3 on the 6 port) so fuel control will be a little different than those described in the greddy turbo fixes thread. Tuning ability or access to someone with it would be a must.

Yeah he did say 4 port...that's certainly a start! After awhile I stopped reading the posts that say NEW SUPERCHARGER or NEW TURBO because they don't get released to the public.

This turbo looks pretty damn good, though really pricey. Hope Hymee comes back from the dead and finishes his supercharger...that would probably be cheaper and allow the engine to last longer

We must also consider that we only have 1 oil coiler. I'd probably upgrade to a 2nd, and likely a larger radiator while I'm at it, before boosting the car. Particularly since the FI system will use the engine's oil for cooling, and an intercooler will reduce the radiator's ability to cool the car. An aftermarket transmission cooler wouldn't hurt either.

Idk about getting all that stuff since ive talked to mazsport about the greddy and interceptor-x im sure it would work but thats like 6500 and that a little steep Id rather just get either the petite supercharger or hymee (whenever they come out) when it comes out since the turbo for an AT looks like something that going to cost more then its worth, this is just my opionion thats all.

The one guy here (apex8) is Rick from Ricks rotary in Ca. What he did was the standard greddy turbo kit ,a pressure riser for the A/T to help the pressure plates from slipping in the transmission. What he found out was when the car was set to auto the turbo would over boost when it changed gears. now this happened because it was under load. he fixed it by useing the E-01 to smooth out the boost. better control than just the manual boost controller.

Also he did upgrade the trannys cooling by useing an afternarket A/T trans cooler. This is a must have.
