Wait, where's Hymee?

He hasn't been on the forums much lately because he's been having some problems the past few months - sounds like those problems are unrelated to development of the charger. I'm not going to pry any more since that's his business.
He's said this is a new year, and it's time for some new enthusiasm about the charger. I'm hoping things work out for him because if I had to guess, I'd say this will be a very high quality kit.

He had some health related issues that he doesn't speak of. All I know is that he is alive and well. Last I heard he had shifted his car related work from hardware items such as the supercharger project to easier projects that are more software related such as improving his scanalyzer. Probably on health related issues. I do wish he'd come around and update from time to time.

I'm glad to hear that he is alive. I am bummed to hear that he isn't actively working on the SC, but it is understandable. Best of luck Hymee, and give us an update!!

I have a question that is only somewhat related. All of the major horsepower upgrades, (SC, Turbo), seem to have to be modified to fit AT cars. This makes sense to me for older ATs, but what about the new 6sp ATs. Since the engine is the same (as the 6sp manual) I would think it would just be a software update to make these upgrades available for the '06ATs. Since I'm not a mechanic I might be missing something huge, so let me know..

ok, we all know I don't know much about this, so I will try to take this as an educational experience and learn something at the expense of sounding stupid.
I know nothing has been updated for the Autos, but what I want to know is what needs to be updated for the existing products to work on the '06 6-port autos.
I would think that most of the engine management would be the same except that the Autos have a 7500 RPM redline. All that this means to me is that the fuel gets cut off at 7500 RPM. (If you put a typical turbo on, you get good boost from around 3k to about 7k rpm correct?) I guess the real question is does the computer in the Auto control the engine any different other than the redline? I am assuming that it doesn't. If it doesn't, I don't know what would make the transition so difficult.
Would SC/Turbo powered engines have any problems telling the trasmission to shift? I don't know how the car knows when to shift, but I recall it has something do do with vaccuum(sp)... I just don't know how the Turbo/SC would effect shift points.
feel free to explain things slowly so i dont ask dumb questions in the future.

The two main superchargers that people are waiting for are not out yet, in any form.

The problem is the performance gain and heat with the blitz. Most people are looking for 70 HP to 100 HP gains from the supercharger. The Blitz does not appear to give that. Also the Blitz is using a roots type supercharger, so it gets hotter than a twinscrew or Axialflow.
