1 rx-8 high power question

I am leaning towards plugs and wires because they tend to show problems under light load rather than heavy load in my experience. I don't know if it has something to do with if they fire differently under different loads. But when my car used to studder under light load I replaced the wires and cleaned the plugs and it was good as new. Also a clogged cat would be the opposite. You'd be fine under light load and feel like the car was sluggish under heavy load due to moving more air through it and building up more back pressure.
1)check and clean your plugs. do this first because you can do it yourself for free.
2)If that's not it replace your wires. A little more expensive but you can still do this yourself easier.
3)check and change your coils. A bit more involved and costly but a good idea anyway as these are notorious for quitting at 30-40K miles.
Also 5K is the torque peak and the highest actual ignition pressures in the engine so that is where you would see ignition problems first.

[COLOR="green"][COLOR="green"][COLOR="Red"]Did you mean that just around 5000k the highest ignition pressure is? or after 5k, or the way before 5k ?
Still everything was very good info, but i dont think (maybe becouse I dont wanna think) its anything wrong with the electrical.
look at my new post further down for reason why. =)

after a phonecall with Bjoernstad Bil...
Bjoernstad bil is known as one of the better tuning/mechinach garage in norway.
They are first of all a Nissan Dealer and they've got long experience with japaneese sport cars.
so.. I talked to one of the tech men and he said he thought it might be some electrical, but it was hard to tell over phone.
after some min. I mentioned the little leak I got in the cat, he said he knew the answer. - or at least ,,, he where pretty sure....
He said that there's a lambda sensor after the cat, and if the cat got a little leak, it will come in a little bit "fresh" air when i'm driving carefully in 1.gear.
That air will make a problem simular to mine.
I cant explain this that good and convincing like he did, but for all sake, please give me feedback on this one.. what do you guys think?
The way he explained me, I actually believed him and for now I'm having peace. And after all this, thats just wonderfull!
