Er.. replacements seem pretty available from Mazdatrix or online Mazda parts suppliers in Canada. Sure it's $360 new, but you could always ebay or junkyard.
I don't think they're meant to be disassembled or repaired, nor would I really trust one that has been?
Straight forward job you know what you are doing.
Your is an old version since had a bleeding valve, the new one I believe the same as the Mazda 6 ? and does have a bleeding valve, line exits are not side...
If you have never done/are not a qualified mechanic, it is not only better but also cheaper to obtain a rebuilt unit/ brank new.
On this platform, people are scared of doing things and thinking outside of the box :D
