Thumbs up

I purchased a 04 in March of this year. The warranty is fully transferible. The warranty does not start when the vehicle was made, it starts when the original owner bought it and put it into service. In my case the car went into service in March of 04. The car has a 5 year or 60k milage limit. Which means if I don't exceed the milage limitation the car is under warranty until march of 2009.

No way will I put 40k on this car in 2 years. If you bought a warranty that runs for 5 years or 60k miles, I would go back and demand credit or extend my years and milage by a great deal.

I bought my car 400 hundred miles from my home, I've had it in the shop for several minor things, (water filled taillight, computer upgrades, broken sun visor, and a broke ashtray door). The dealer has been great. (Mazda of Midland, TX).

Do your research and be prepared to prove your case to the service writer. You can arm yourself with all the knowlege you need right here on this site. Do Not take any crap off these guys.

It's dealers like this that give Mazda a bad rep. I've owned 4 rotary powered Mazda's over the years. Mazda will take care of this.

i see people talking about having 04's and getting a 5yr/60k warranty. On tuesday i'm picking up an 05 with 28k on it that was bought 5/05. did the 05's come with the same 5yr/60k warranty because when i looked online at edmunds.com it said 4yr/50k

The original warranty period was for the 4yr/50k. It was extended to 5yr/60k for all years when they issued the big emissions recall for the oil metering pump adjustment at low rpms.

i looked online at mazda's website and signed on as an owner and it says there ware no recalls for my vehicle and under the warranty section it doesn't even go back to 05. if i just stopped at a mazda dealer would they be able to tell me more or you think they'll just try to jerk me around. anything else i can check to make sure about any recalls on my car and warranty info?

there should be a MNAO customer service 1-800 number on Mazda's website. They should be able to tell you those information.

i got the extended warranty.. i dont know if its really worth it because they kind of screw you as far as..you have the option of 75000 miles/4 years or 100,000 3 years.. i wish the years were swapped.. i got it anyway since it was put into the price .. im on my second motor but it was covered by my mazda warranty. i am the second owner that i know of but i bought it at mazda. i paid 1600
