Exclamation 2004 Rx-8 engine

I dont have experience with rotary engines. I have an rx8 and the oil is a milky color. I know this mean that water is coming into the engines oil. How should i approach this problem? ive been told that it needs a new engine and or it needs the seals in the engine replaced. its just a few mile over 100K.

Read the new owner's thread. It may be normal condensation. You might not need an engine. It is a common mis-diagnosis by piston mechanics.

the first reason I took it into the shop was because it turns off when it comes to a stop. Going up hills it loses a lot of power and goes up very slow.

Read the new owner's thread for information on compression tests. If you have severe lack of power, you need one.

It's possible it's just ignition failure coupled with normal condensation in the oil though. Lots to work through, don't immediately take someone's guess as correct (even mine), especially if they have no experience with the RX-8.
