2007, 15 000 miles, coil change?
Hi, after reading that coils go bad after 35 xxx miles, I started to wonder if I should change mine. The things is: my 8 has very low mileage compared to its year. It's a 2007 GT MT with only 15 000 miles... I wonder if coils go bad with AGE or just with mileage... If anybody could share their experience changing 5 or some year old coils but with low mileage.
My car seems to run fine but then again, I only had it for 5 000 miles...(the last 7 months) so I have no idea if it's in tip top condition.
Thanks for your input!
Bill

The only way to know for sure is by purchasing a coil tester.

I found some interesting info on the Japanese RX-8 modified magazine the other day.
They actually recommend change plugs every 6,000km (around 10k miles).
And also listed other leading plugs, including the rx-7 ones.
The rx7 plugs has been discussed i know, just saying what was listed on the mag.
I'll post the info once I get home tonight...
