250PS (Asian) vs 230PS (EU) please distinguish mechanical differences
If anyone of you guys is aware of the differences between the Asian and the Europe Rx8s please state them below.
I live in cyprus, eu. EU rx8 new is about 40000dollars and I could get an Asian edition rx8 with 250ps with 30000dollars.
I would like the differences between the two to make up my mind.
thanks guys

hey dasoviet, i live in malaysia and i'm getting the JDM (Asian) edition rx8 with 250 hp. Objectively, the euro version has been de-tuned a little due to emission standards. As for the JDM models, there are many variants in the market, check out this page for the JDM models... the AT is a Type E while the Manual is a Type S..

in short--emissions tuning
in long--mazda detuned the 8 to meet new US emissions laws regarding the catalytic convertor. with the hot exhaust of the jdm tune, cats would only last 50k miles..so the fule maps of the US/EU spec 8 were enrichened too reduce the heat.
