Hello there!
First of all thank you for reading and answering my questions, im a new rx8 owner so there's a crap ton of stuff i dont really know.
My 8 is close to 30k miles
I want to get the service done, so i called Mazda today n holy smoking crap they want 700bucks for it.
It includes Air filter change, transmission flush, and 1 more other thing that i could not recall. Since my car is an AT they said it has a special part that they have to clean or replace. Which i have no idea what it is!
I've read the manual, and they recomended doing these

A.Change: Engine oil/replace filter
Lube: Locks and hinges
B. Inspect: Disc brakes
C. Inspect: Drive belts, fuel lines,
hoses, and connections, brake
lines and hoses, steering
operation and linkages, front
and rear suspension ball joints,
driveshaft dust boots, chassis
and body bolts, exhaust system
heat shields, cooling system,
and bolts and nuts on seat
E. Clean air filter


So the question is, which one should i do? And what other things i should check/clean/replace? I've already change my spark plugs couple months back since my dad flooded my engine so that part i dont think i need to do.

NO way i will b doing this service at Mazda, so is it possible to have them done at other shops? I might even consider doing these myself since my friend is a mechanic. So if i get all the parts myself what's the approximate cost?

Also another question.
I've been using Penzoil Full synthetic 5w20
should i stick with it? or use other oil?
Since im afraid Mazda will void my warranty i think i might switch back to non synthetic. What are my options?
