350z or evo brembo brakes
anyone ever swap out for the evo,350z,or 35 brembos? just wondering how much altering would need to be done.it seems to be cheap alternative to the really pricey braking kits out there.not quite as good but better than stock.our bolt pattern is the same which helps im sure.

You would need to fabricate a bracket to hold the Caliper....
Racing Brake has the best pricing on BBK's Range in price from $1,025-$2,000 which is extremely affordable for a BBK.
Save the time and hassle, don't risk trying to do something yourself with a critical system such as stopping the car. Save the money and do it right. I work flexible payment plans for those that are interested in making larger purchases.
Let me know I would be happy to help.

Actually if I'm not mistaken the OEM brakes are made by brembo.
The brakes in the RX8 are quite capable. BBK's are only going to provide a benefit if your track racing the car and running very sticky tires.
If you're looking for low cost alternatives I'd look into a more aggressive brake pad. Otherwise there are good slotted rotor designs which will still give you good surface area.

I think he is more concerned with the Brembo look than that actual performance gain, the better pad I thought to be a given already but you can never tell with these general posts. But I would agree a better pad will do wonders to stopping power.

well 350z brakes are setup for a 350z same way with the evo or g35. if you put those brrakes on an 8 then you will need to make sure you have proper modulation between all 4 corners or you will actually lose brakeing preformance.
if you want the brembo/bbk look make sure you get something designed for the rx8 or you will be spending alot of time trying to get them set up right

thanks for all the input guys.lots of good points.im looking to do a brake upgrade for 2 reasons.i plan to traick the car and defainatly want the looks to go along with my roja formula 5s. i recently got the greddy turbo and profec e01.next will be the cobb access port.then,im going to get into the brakes.as one of you guys mentioned the brembo caliper covers wont do.haha.im going to look into the bbk system.i am a bit concerned of caliper clearance of the roja wheels.i can remedy with spacers but i went with a 19x10 in the rear so space is limited.the wheels are perfectly flush with the quarters right now and dont want them to stick out.i expect that i would probably have that issue up front more than out back and thats not to bad with 18x8.5 i have the room.i guess there is no way iwill know until the install huh?
