For the love of internal combustion, rev matching is your friend. Unless you're on the track exclusively (or nearly so), your clutch should look as good as Shaun's.

My Grand Father went 500000 miles in his P/U and only had to change the clutch once, at around 400000.

I suspect smoky burnouts are to blame more than rev matching.

Actually, it's probably holding the clutch at stop lights and not making sure it's all the way in, or being non-committal about letting up on the pedal.

for me it is feathering the clutch at ~4500rpm aka the motorcross dip the clutch...

the clutch costs less than anything else in the drive line to replace.... and dumping the clutch is not fast.. it is just shocking..
