Hi,
Newbie to the forum and have had my 2004 rx8 for about 5months and am now due for a 60,000 service.
Any recommendations on where to go (previously gone to a brisbane mazda service department) How much should this normally cost? Have been quoted $795.00

I assume that you're in Australia? You should put your location in your profile or the answers you get may be inaccurate.
From what I understand of Australian part prices you might want to order parts from the USA
