Yesterday after driving 300 miles i got to my destination and while making a slow speed (5mph) turn the car stalled and would not start again for about 20 minutes. It finally started again but now the rough idle that the car has always had is much worse and there is a metallic clanking noise now (only when AC is on). Any relation?

Why did the car stall? It is auto.

Need more info on the car, like mileage and maintenance done.

 

sounds like what was happening to mine. i finally lost compression when the side seal blew. might want to get your compression checked now.

Yea either ignition or compression prob. Hopefully if the seals are going you can get a warranty rebuilt core. I think they stick U with the omp bill or something like that. It's not cheap..

 

Do I have to go to a dealership to get a compression test done? How much does that run?
