ABS light on

Last night my car was running for like 15 minutes while I was in garage and out of blue the ABS light and the light with skid marks came on at the same time-----------WTF

I'd be willing to bet it's because of the self test. Remember how the system does a check when you first put it into gear and move? Perhaps because it idled for 15 minutes, it never did that check and then threw a trouble code. Has the light come on again since then?

I can see why they would have simply used a timer for the self-check, rather than adding an extra chunk of logic to determine if the car has moved and the self-test not accomplished. Wil have to look that one up when I get my manuals and stuff.

If it happens again, I'd definitely get the car to the dealership to be looked at. The manual specifically states that if you get ANY of those lights on when they should have come on, it means you have a problem in that subsystem. Just my 2 cents.
