advanced auto zone spark plugs

I need some plugs asap, they went out on me.
Advanced has some leading in stock for 20.00. they do not have trailing but can get them next day.

Is this an OK buy?? they are the NGK's

Those are my plugs.

Think i can get away with getting the leading today, and drive the car till the trailing come in?

I just came across a thread for advanced plugs.

Will having new leading, and my old trailing (cleaned off) work for a day??

I'm curious how you know the plugs went out... did you test each one for spark?
Chances are you'll be fine to use the old trailing plugs for a day anyway.

They have at least 20k miles on them, past few days they have been running rough.

I know i know, check the coils... i dont honestly think its them.

Sounds to me like you're making assumptions without any proper troubleshooting.
In any case... new plugs are always good... change them out and see how it works for you.

i will, and thanks,

But honestly if the plugs have 20k miles on them daily driven at least 100 miles a day, in this Florida weather. why not start with the plugs. they are pretty built up. Only sputters on idle, and when the car is cold and you accel it has a slight miss. once its warm the miss goes away and at idle it will stumble around a little bit if sitting.

I agree with ya bud... plugs are usually the first thing to replace.
I guess its just the difference between me and others... I like to narrow it down to the faulty component before spending money.
But the one nice thing about plugs, its always good to replace them anyway if you've gone a couple years without.

its the same plugs, you can use it.

I change my plugs every 10-15K , cuz I drive really hard and if I dont change them I get misfires.

You can test your wires and coil packs with a multimeter. **** you can even test your spark plugs with a multimeter...

Sooooo test all your stuff. If everything checks out fine then clean your maf and air filter.

If you notice no difference after that get a compression test.

no problem just replacing the leading. another trick i found out is you can use RX7 plugs. they are only $7 each. should be BUR9EQ and BUR7EQ.

no those were crush washers.

To fit those rx7 plugs you need about 3 or 4 washers. Its really not worth it just get oem.
