Advanced Keyless - Shock Sensor?

After speaking with the $tealership, I am told I cannot add a shock sensor to my 2006 with Advanced Keyless entry.

I've SEARCHED the forums, and the consensus seems to be that the dealer is correct. However, there are a couple of posts that could be interpreted to say that some have added this.

Is there anyone who has successfully added a shock sensor (Mazda or aftermarket) to a car with Advanced Keyless (the credit card).

TIA!

ps. reason for asking now is that someone tried a 'Mazda 3' entry on my car. They were unsuccessful.... I'm out $300 for the deductible.

I read on one guy's blog that had the shock sensor installed on his 2007 GT.

I need to find his site again, but base off what I remember, I think initially when he got the car, he had this installed by dealer, basically sensor became hot to touch, so dealer try to fix it, eventually got Mazda engineer out to fix the installation.

After the engineer diagnose the problem for a few times, it was fixed, but I don't know what the fix is. I think that's why Mazda later change it to "N/A" to sensor option for Advanced Key.

Found it:

wow,

i guess you searched and i made a point of a good job and well got closed..

as to your issue. reading on the ms3 forum the issue is not resolved, and here. so that is the best answer i can give.

i had hoped by bumping the tread someone that has fought the issue and fixed it here would help..

so pretty much you are the king of search. your issue did not get fixed.

i got in trouble for making a positive example of someone that took the time to do it right..

i guess i missed that the masses only understand the least common denominator..

i guess i will only help the stupid from now on!

beers
