Exclamation Advice

Guys, i have just placed a deposit down for the mazda RX8 after driving the car, which i think is fantastic.
Can you advise if there are any issue i will have to check or rasie with the dealership before full payment is made.
I know this is an open ended question but you have to start somewhere!!

Adainty,

Well, thats a hard question to answer, especially being on this board. Some may tell you that the oil lights are a problem and some may tell you the trannys are the problem. I think 95% of the people on the board will agree that overall it is a great car. You have to understand that it is a 2004 car, so its brand spanking new and there are going to be bugs that need to be worked out. I know personally that Mazda is working pretty much 24/7 getting everything fixed and worked out. You have a 4 year, 50,000 mile warranty on the car. By the time the warranty is up I would imagine that there will be fixes for the bugs and they will have in tip top shape. The biggest issue on here seems to be the oil question. Ask your dealership what they say on what type of oil to use. And, just in case you have never owned a rotary engine...they burn oil, but its completely normal. Just surf around the board and see what kind of issues there are. You will see that there are very few major issues. Most of the issues posted have already been addressed by Mazda. If you have any warranty questions or anything, feel free to ask.
