AEM Tru Boost Controller

Ive searched and by the look of the search results. Theres only 2 people on here that have AEM Tru boost and only 1 person shows his settings but doesent seem to be right settings.

Anybody have any idea on how to tune the AEM Tru Boost?
(not asking how the controller works, asking what settings to input)

The main thing ive noticed is that the spring pressure needs to be input into the unit and I have no idea what that is. I called greddy and asked Benny, he said it should be 6.5 but it was just a guess. I tried 6.5 and the boost feels fast, feels like it spools up Way quick, but thats only at like 40% throttle, if i give it anymore gas, I see the boost go up up up up, im talking 10psi sometimes. and when it gets up there, it drops and goes up back and fourth 10psi - 5pis - 8psi - 5psi... so on.

I noticed that if I lower the number on the spring pressure it does less of that...
but litterally, if I lower it to 1, it hardly does it, but at that point ive noticed that the car only goes into boost at like 70% throttle.

The spool is way louder and more responsive at a higher spring pressure but the car cant hold the boost.

Keep in mind my A and B settings are both at A10 B10 while im testing the wastegate spring pressure.

Any Ideas would be awesome.

thanks, Team!

(lol, team)

Hmm.... I wonder if I have the spring pressure to 1 (or whatever low number I can get on it) and raise the boost level for A and B, if I will get a faster response :/
Im just scared of a sudden boost spike

Does it ask for spring rate in units of lbs/inch? If so, then it would probably not be 6.5. Try something higher.

The difference is one is a pressure reading. 6.5 pounds per square inch.

The other is a spring rate, as in it would take 6.5 pounds to compress the spring one full inch from its starting point.
