After flooding RX8, what to do with sparkplugs???
Flooded my RX8 (Alarm system sucked battery during storage and started too slow...).
Dealer told me to get the oil changed and put new sparkplugs.
There was effectively fuel in my oil...
But plugs at 60$ each = 240$$$ :-/
Can I clean the plug? How?
Or find affordable plugs?
Thanks
JJ

You can purchase a set of plugs at Rosenthal or Trussville for half that price. Find them in the Vendor section. Also, go to www.sparkplugs.com for even cheaper prices. You can clean the plugs easily if they are only fuel/oil fouled and not carbon fouled. If the center insulator looks whitish/tanish, just blast away with contact cleaner, carb cleaner or some other solvent to remove the fuel/oil.

Keep a check on engine performance because floods have been reported to cause catalytic converter failure. Poor engine performance will be a symptom of such a failure. If you want to know more, do a search for cat failure.
